Connect a custom domain after the website has a working LynaX URL. LynaX creates DNS instructions for the exact hostname you enter, so you do not need to guess records or use one shared DNS value.
Choose the hostname to connect
- Open the website artifact → Website settings → Domain & DNS.
- Enter exactly one hostname, such as
example.com,www.example.com, orshop.example.com; do not enterhttps://, a path, or multiple hostnames. - Save settings so LynaX can create a DNS plan for that hostname.
Create DNS from the LynaX plan
- Open the domain’s DNS provider and create every record LynaX displays, preserving the Type, Host, and Value.
- For a root domain the screen supplies A records; for a subdomain it supplies CNAME records. Use only the records in the displayed plan for that hostname.
- Choose the region nearest primary visitors if the DNS screen asks for it.
- Save the records at the DNS provider, then return to LynaX.
Verify and test
- In Domain & DNS, choose Verify DNS.
- If verification does not pass yet, wait for DNS to update and recheck Type, Host, and Value rather than adding a different record.
- After successful verification, open
https://your-hostnamein a private browser window and test key pages. - If Website Chat is enabled for Live, test it on the custom domain after verification.
Production notes
- The
*.lynax.appURL remains available for testing while DNS is pending. - Only the exact displayed hostname is connected at one time. If both root and
wwware needed, select the primary hostname or configure a redirect at the DNS provider according to your policy. - Do not delete DNS records or the website before traffic and Website Chat have moved to a replacement.
